Konrad O. Bernheimer, 1950 in Rubio, Venezuela, als Sohn eines deutsch-jüdischen Vaters und einer venezolanisch-katholischen Mutter auf einer Kaffeeplantage geboren, Kunstsammler und -händler. Schon als Kind wurde er von seinem Großvater Otto Bernheimer in die Geschäfte des bekannten Münchner Familienbetriebs, Antiquitätenhandel und ehemaligs königlich-bayrischer Hoflieferant, eingeführt. Als Sohn des von den NS-Machthabern enteigneten Kurt Bernheimer führte Konrad Bernheimer nach einem Aufenthalt bei Christie’s von 1977 an das Familienunternehmen. Vom Einrichtungshaus und Antiquitätenhandel verwandelte er das Geschäft zum international tätigen Kunsthandel. Lange war er einer der führenden Händler für Gemälde Alter Meister. 2015 zog er sich aus dem Tagesgeschäft zurück. Er ist verheiratet und hat vier Töchter. Nach dem Verkauf seiner Londoner Galerie lebt er mit seiner Familie wieder ganz in München. 2015 erschien von ihm die Familiengeschichte »Narwalzahn und Alte Meister: Aus dem Leben einer Kunsthändlerdynastie«.
